Change of Editor for Australian Physics

Dr Peter Kappen Dr David Hoxley

 

Australian Physics, the members' journal of the Australian Institute of Physics is published six times per year, having stated as a monthly publication under the name The Australian Physicist in 1964. After more than five years as editor, Associate Professor Brian James is stepping down, to be replaced by Dr Peter Kappen and Dr David Hoxley, who will be joint editors. Dr Kappen is Principal Scientist, X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy at the Australian Synchrotron (Carlton, Victoria). Dr Hoxley is a lecturer in the Department of Chemistry and Physics at La Trobe University (Bundoora, Victoria), with research interests in nanotechnology and the application of modern educational psychology and information technology to tertiary education.
